Here we are on the plane on the flight from Chicago to Frankfurt, Germany. From Frankfurt we took another flight on to Moscow. |

Moscow has very keep subway lines, which were purportedly built to double as bomb shelters. Consequently, there are long escalators! |

Moscow's subway also has a reputation for beautiful stations. This is Kievskaya Station. If you're interested in seeing more pictures of the Moscow subway system (supposedly the busiest in the world) check out this website. |

We took the overnight train from Moscow to St. Petersburg. We arrived in the early morning sun. The train says "Krasnaya Strela" which means "red arrow." It is the non-stop express line from Moscow to St. Petersburg. |
