My vocation is teaching, and I love it. Vocation means your job or your career. But what do I do when I go home after school? On this page you will find out about the things I like to do with my free time, which nobody ever has enough of. There are so many cool things to do out there in the big, wide world! Click on the headings or pictures below for more information about that subject. |

Travel Probably my favorite hobby is traveling. If you are curious, I have another website all about some of the places I have been to over the years. Click here for that site. The world is full of amazing and interesting places. I love seeing things that are different from what we have here at home. Here I am in Turkey back in 1998, trying to look suave (cool) in a city called Gazientep. |

Triathlons In a triathlon, you swim, bike, and run all in the same race. I like training for these events because it helps me stay in shape and healthy. The word triathlon means "three sports." "Tri" means three, like in triangle or tricycle. The "athlon" part is the same as in the word "athlete" or "athletics." |

Music Life would be so boring without music, don't you think? My favorite musical activities are singing, playing the piano, and playing the trombone. |

Arabic I speak a language called Arabic, which is the main language spoken by people in the region of the world called the Middle East. Arabic has a different writing system and it is written from right to left! Learning a different language is like learning a secret code; you have to break the code and figure out the message. |

Reading On this page you will find information about my favorite books. The great thing about books is that there are so many of them you will never run out of new books to read. There is always something new you've never read before, whether it's an exciting fiction story like Harry Potter or an informative nonfiction book about dinosaurs or your favorite athlete. |
